What is the significance of a ribbon attaching our wedding crowns?
As I understand it, the ribbon joining the wedding crowns symbolizes the joining of the Bride and Groom together as one. In some Orthodox Christian cultures, such as the Romanian Orthodox Church, the tradition is not to tie the crowns together, but to tie the Bride and Groom's wrists together for their walk about the table. In my experience, nearly all Brides and Grooms have a ribbon attaching the crowns, rather than their wrists. As such, all of the crowns that I sell will normally include a ribbon. If your Church does not use ribbon to attach the crowns, please let me know and I will leave it off. If you are unsure of your Church's preference, talk to your priest.

What methods can you use to attach the ribbon to the crowns?

I offer several methods for attaching ribbon onto the crowns. The most traditional style, and one that I use the most, is the Bow.

If you like the look of having that additional ribbon tail hanging down your back, but don't want a bow, then maybe a "Tie" knot is more your style.

If you would like a sleek look, with as little ribbon as possible, then the "No-Bow" style may be for you.

If you have ordered a metal crown, and its dimensions are appropriate, by default (unless asked to do otherwise), I form the crown using solid Sterling Silver tube rivets. These tube rivets provide a very unique and artistic means for attaching ribbon to the crowns. Since the ribbon is literally threaded through the crown, the ribbon is prevented from slipping and sliding around the crown. Even though the ribbon is threaded through the rivet in metal crowns, you may still choose "Bow", "Tie" or "No-Bow" knots.

Can we purchase additional ribbon?
I am more than happy to offer additional segments of the attaching ribbon from your crowns for you to use in bouquets, centerpieces, or for any other purpose. Matching ribbon can be purchased for $2.00/yd, with no additional shipping when ordered with a set of crowns. Just specify how much extra you would like when you email me your crown order.
