Byzantine Copper

Simplicity and tradition at its best: I engraved a simple byzantine cross on a very solid and substantial 3/4" tall, solid copper base. I oxidized (darkened) the cross engraving to help it stand out..and then polished the crowns to super shiny finished. Sealed with a metal lacquer to prevent tarnish.

Formed into standard 7" diameter rounds (actually just a touch over 7"), and attached with a 1.5" wide antique white ribbon, via the no-bow attachment.
