Lydia

The Lydia crowns are some of my favorite Kimono crowns. Made from the sash of a reclaimed kimono, the floral patter is just fantastic. This is one of the few printed fabrics I offer (as opposed to a woven design)...but the detail work is just amazing. and the gold edging on some of the flowers has a shine to it that makes it look like gold embroidery--not just gold colored dye.

The fabric is a bit more of a crepe-type texture. and because of its delicate texture, I actually used a stainless steel base (as opposed to aluminum). The stainless steel allows me to use a thinner gauge of metal (thus a more delicate looking crown). The stainless steel has a bit of spring to it, which is great, as it will pop right back into shape if you ever drop it.

Paired up with a perfectly coordinating sage green satin ribbon.
