My name is Ann Corey Clough, and my life, thus far, has been well defined by my always having been a member of the Eastern Orthodox religion, as well as an artist.
I am originally from Terre Haute, In., where I attended St. George Orthodox Church for the first 21 years of my life. Very Rev. Father Anthony Yazge became the priest of that parish when I was about 4 years old. My husband and I were lucky enough to have Fr. Anthony officiate our wedding in January of 2004.
After our wedding, Josh and I moved to Greenbelt, MD. We attended Very Rev. George Rados's church, Saints Peter and Paul, in Potomac, MD. On occasion we also attended Fr. Panagiotis Papanikolaou’s church, St. Theodore Greek Orthodox Church, in Lanham, MD
In the summer of 2007, Josh and I moved to Indianapolis, IN and attend St. George Church of Indianapolis with priest Very Rev. Fr. Nabil Hanna.
Throughout my childhood, you could always find me drawing, painting or gluing
one thing or another. In high school my obsession became beads: making beaded
jewelry and bead weavings. While in college at Saint
Mary-of-the-Woods College in Terre Haute, IN, studying Biology and Chemistry,
I started my own jewelry business, "Designs by Ann Corey". I continued this
business even after my graduation from SMWC in 2003. After I was married
and moved to MD, I switched business gears and started making my own glass
beads. My other business, Clo
Glassworks, is my baby and I love going to work every day at my torch
to create great new pieces of glass art.
It wasn't until a cousin asked me to make wedding crowns for his sister's
wedding that it occured to me that this might be an area well suited to
my constant need to create beautiful and unique pieces of art. And so, OrthodoxWeddingCrowns.com
was born.
I am so happy to have this additional creative outlet to share with you.
I have so many beautiful designs in mind that you can expect to see many
new things every time you return to this site.
